Located in the Lombardy region in northern Italy, Milan is the second largest city in Italy, and a global capital of finance, fashion, design, art and culture. Duomo di Milano

Duomo di Milano is a Gothic and Lombard Romanesque style cathedral in the heart of Milan, and the seat of the Archbishop of Milan. Construction started in the year 1386 but took nearly 600 years to complete! The largest church in Italy, and one of the world's largest Catholic churches, the Duomo can accommodate up to 40,000 people inside.

Teatro alla Scala

Inaugurated on 3rd August 1778, the Teatro alla Scala is one the world's leading opera and ballet houses. Over its long history, several legendary artists like Paganini, Giuseppe Verdi, Arturo Toscanini, and Puccini, have performed or debuted their works at the theater. The theatre has more than 3000 seats.

Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II

Located between the Duomo and the Teatro Alla Scala, Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II is the oldest shopping arcade in Italy (built in 1865-1867). It is home to some of the most luxurious modern boutiques like Prada, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, and also some of the oldest restaurants and shops in Milan like the Biffi Caffè (founded in 1867) and the Borsalino hat-shop (1883).

Santa Maria delle Grazie

Santa Maria delle Grazie is a convent and church in Milan that is home to the world-famous mural "The Last Supper," painted by Leonardo da Vinci between 1494 and 1498. First designed in 1469 by the architect Guiniforte Solari, the church is recognized today as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its historic and cultural value.

Castello Sforzesco

Castello Sforzesco was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, the Duke of Milan, on the remnants of a 14th-century fortification. Napoleon ordered the demolition of the castle in 1800 and a year later the Spanish bastions and towers were destroyed. The castle was then rebuilt by Luca Beltrami between 1891-1905. Today, the castle houses several museums.

Parco Sempione

Parco Sempione is a large green space located close to the Castello Sforzesco. Built between 1890 and 1893, the park has manicured bushes, exotic flowers and trees, beautiful, vivid lawns, and an artificial lake. Other sights in the area include the Arena Civica, The Arco della Pace, and the Acquario Civico Milano.

Pinacoteca di Brera

Founded by Napoleon in 1809, Pinacoteca di Brera is among the largest art galleries in Italy. It is also the home of Milan's Academy of Fine Art. The museum is famous for its rich collection of Renaissance and Baroque art by the likes of Caravaggio, Raphael, Bellini, Rubens, Tintoretto, and Andrea Mantegna. The main masterpiece in the gallery is “The Marriage of the Virgin” by Raphael.

San Siro Stadium

San Siro Stadium is a football stadium situated in the San Siro district of Milan that is home to the world famous soccer teams AC Milan and Inter Milan. With a seating capacity of around 80 thousand, it is among the largest stadiums in Europe and the largest one in Italy itself. The Stadium has hosted multiple FIFA world cup games and European Cup Finals.
