Valencia

Located on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona.
The city has a long and diverse history, dating back to Roman times. It flourished under Moorish rule during the Middle Ages, becoming a center of commerce and culture.

The city’s architecture reflects its various historical influences. The most famous landmark is the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. Other notable sites include the Valencia Cathedral, Torres de Serranos (Serranos Towers), and La Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Valencia is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, delicious cuisine, and beautiful sandy beaches including Playa de la Malvarrosa and Playa de la Patacona. One of the most famous cultural festivals is Las Fallas, which takes place every March. This festival features elaborate street parades, fireworks, and the burning of giant papier-mâché sculptures known as “fallas.”
