Kythnos

Kythnos is a mountainous island in the western part of the Cyclades. Only a short two-hour ferry ride from Athens, it is most popular for weekend visits from the city. The island has two picturesque villages, Chora and Driopida with whitewashed houses, traditional taverns, and windmills. There are also 99 beautiful beaches on the island, the most famous of which is Kolona.
