Bogotá

Bogota is the beautiful and bustling capital city of Columbia. Located in the center of the country, on the Bogota Savanna, a plateau on the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes Mountain Range. Bogota is one of the world’s biggest cities and one of South America’s most important cultural centers. Finally, the charming Plaza Bolivar, the main square of Bogotá has several buildings dating back as far as the 16th century, while the famous Botanical Garden has over 20,000 plants native to the region.

Overall, Bogotá is a mix of both modern and colonial, with some of Columbia’s most beautiful hiking trails just minutes from the city limits. Hike the Andes, visit the Amazon, or simply head out to one of the city’s local waterfalls to completely get lost in nature.
