Bondi Beach
Bondi Beach is one of the most recognizable beaches in Australia and one of the most visited tourist spots in the country. The name of the beach comes from the Aboriginal word “Boondi” meaning surf. The beach is around 1km long and is home to the famous “Santa by the surf” event on the 25th of December every year, where surfers enter the water dressed as Santa Claus. As a popular tourist destination, restaurants and bars with a view of the beach, line the Campbell Parade and side streets.
