Arusha

Located in the north of Tanzania, in the shadow of Mount Meru, and less than a hundred kilometers from Moshi, the town at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha is the safari capital of the country. Tourists usually overnight here before embarking on a safari on the Northern Circuit, which includes Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Parks. Built by the Germans as a center of colonial administration, Arusha is now one of the country’s most prosperous towns. It is also the center of trading of Tanzanite, a rare gemstone that is found only in Tanzania.

Arusha Coffee Lodge

Comprising of 30 Plantation Houses that radiate out into the evergreen coffee fields of one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, the Arusha Coffee Lodge is a perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any East African safari.
